Description
Starting just south of the
Scenic Trail on Scenic Drive, the first third of the trail is spent up on a ridge with plenty of wildlife in the area. Tons of squirrels, chipmunks, deer, and birds live in this area. The trail descends and passes a spring before turning to the left.
The next third of the trail is a little overgrown in the summer but isn't too bad. The remainder of the trail is spent crossing small gulches and valleys, most of which are dry year-round. You'll cross two small creeks during the last third of the trail. The trail ends at Bonwell Hill Road. Follow the road to the right and make your way to the other side of the parking lot to access the
Bonwell Trail.
This is a great trail to hike in the fall.
