Manitou train service only on weekend.

Overview

City-accessible hike, that minimizes time spent along busy roads. Great views from Anthony's Nose Overlook.

Need to Know

This is a point to point hike that is best done if you drop a car at one end. Alternatively, you could take a taxi or ride share to the opposite end after leaving your car.

Description

This hike starts at the Manitou train station. Follow some residential roads till you intersect the AT where it joins a wooded road. The trail will veer off to the right through a campground and is an easy turn to miss. Follow the AT south-west and stay to the left when the trail forks to Bear Mountain. From here the trail will lead to Anthony's Nose Overlook. From the overlook, follow the trail markers south-east past the first parking lot to the Camp Smith Trail trailhead.
