Need to Know

This trail is located at Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park. Hikers can also visit the Hindman Hall Museum to learn more about the Battle of Prairie Grove and can see more of the battlefield by taking the five-mile driving tour. The museum is open every day from 8am to 5pm.

Description

This paved, one-mile loop trail leads you on a journey back in time to the American Civil War. Some of the heaviest fighting that occurred during the Battle of Prairie Grove took place in the area you'll travel through. Along the path, wayside exhibits offer insight on the significant events that happened here.
