Hot and exposed in the summertime. Stay hydrated and protected from the sun.

Description

Trailhead is behind the visitor center. The whole trail is through sand so there is no real footpath to follow. There are posts in the sand with arrows to guide the way. The trail takes you from the visitors center across the dunes to the sound where it loops through a small maritime forest and back on the same track you came out on.
