Need to Know

There is parking at Mound View with bathrooms and a campsite. There is a trail that you can get on that will take you all the way to Belmont, Wisconsin. You may also encounter trail mountain bikers. This trail is one direction for bikes and the other for the hikers.

Description

The trail is hardpack dirt, roots, and rocks. There are two wooden bridges. Crosses the main trail twice, which is gravel. There are plans to pave the main trail to help with accessibility for other events in this area. The trail is completely covered by trees -- shady hiking with little sun in the late spring and summer months. Trail is maintained by the Platteville Human Powered Trails (PHPT) group.
