The Schofield/Benson Canyon trail runs from the Schofield Canyon #5007A to Benson Ridge/Bluff Springs #5006. It is used by hikers as well as ATVs and trail motorcycles, but both hiking and OHV traffic is light.

The trail surface is mostly made up of large rocks which can make the hike somewhat difficult, especially for smaller children. Trail has a few areas of steep up and downhill. The trail can be combined with Schofield Canyon #5007A, Shortcut #5007B, Schofield/Taylor Canyon #5007D, FSR 5007, and Benson Ridge/Bluff Springs #5006 to create loops of varying length.
