Description

This trail splits off the Old Main Line Trail in a particularly low-lying and often saturated section denoted by an old access gate. The trail quickly heads uphill as it curves around following the remains of a park road. This first half section of the trail is wide and semi-paved with few obstacles.

About a third of the way down this trail, the forest opens up to a grassy field where an old ranger house once stood. While some may be covered by invasive plants and tall grasses, some remains of this structure can still be seen laying in the open field. From here, the trail becomes a singletrack path with a much more gradual slope as it continues uphill towards the ridgeline to the west.
