Description

A 3.3-mile trail that starts in Van Sickle Bi-State Park and connects to the Tahoe Rim Trail (TRT: Daggett) at 7,777-foot elevation. Trail consists of mostly sandy surface with the occasional rocky surface thrown in at various spots. Almost always an uphill hike with minimal flat spots.

About 1 mile in is a small waterfall that most people stop at and turn around. During this first mile, the trail is mainly switchbacks and is at its steepest. Most hikers stop at the waterfall and turn around, leaving the rest of the trail with minimal people. Occasional mountain bikers ride this trail to the top and back down. Excellent views all around!

Trail had slushy and slick spots. We were only able to make it about 1.9 miles as the the snow pack was up our knees after the waterfall.
