Description

Normanstone Trail creates a nice "loop" connector for the Dumbarton Oaks Path. Follow Dumbarton Oaks Path southeast towards Rock Creek. Follow the creek until just before the exercise course at Rock Creek Parkway and Calvert Street access ramp.

Normanstone trailhead is clearly marked. Normanstone pauses at Embassy of Cameroon. Follow along Normanstone Drive sidewalk west, then north. Trail picks up again on the west side of the street around 30th Street and crosses Massachusetts Avenue by the Embassy of the UK. Continue on Observatory Circle past Embassy of New Zealand. The trail entrance is adjacent to the Naval Observatory entrance and continues west to the Dumbarton Oaks Path Whitehaven Street entrance/exit.
