Entrance fee to park is $7 for Indiana residents, $9 for those out of state.
Description
Park at the Twin Caves parking area. A short spur trail takes you down to the two twin caves, and boat tours inside the cave are available for $3 a person. The tours are short, family friendly, and worth the $3 fee. Check the Spring Mill website for a tour schedule.
Turn right at the top of the stairs to Twin Caves and head towards Bronson Cave. After about 0.1 miles, the trail comes to an overlook of Bronson Cave, which is off-limits to exploring. Parts of the cave have been known to trap spelunkers and water can rise without warning.
Continuing past Bronson Cave, the trail traverses through old timber forest and countless sinkholes, common for this area. The trail crosses two roads before meeting the
Connector: Trail 4 to Trail 3 and later
Connector: Spring Mill Inn to Trail 3. There is an overlook of Donaldson Cave in winter but not in summer. To get a better view of Donaldson Cave, take the connector to
Trail 4 and hike down to see the cave.
Passing the connector to the Inn, the trail crosses two more roads before going through more dense forest and returning to the parking area for Twin Caves.
