Description

As soon as you cross the bridge on Hwy 321 take a sharp u pin turn to the right to the Canal Branch trailhead parking on your left. From the gated entrance follow the service road a short distance and go under the power lines and then a left along the power line to the trail entrance on your right.

The trail follows the shore line through a beautiful forest of pine trees with fine views of the lake. It is easy with slight up and downs for 1.5 miles to the Baker Hollow Branch at Mizell Trailhead. You can continue on the Baker Hollow Branch for 3 miles.

To shuttle this hike your car can be left at Mizell or Baker Hollow Branch that connects with Davis Ferry Branch near Antioch Church Road.
