Description

The second of two parking areas for Short Sand Beach is on the west side of Highway 101 and only about 0.2 miles south. This trail begins from the parking area and heads south a short distance as it descends towards its namesake creek. The trail then turns west and follows the north side of the Necarney Creek, past the Cedar Crossing Trail and the Old Growth Forest Trail before ending at Sitka Spruce Trail.

To reach the beach, take Sitka Spruce Trail either north to Short Sand Beach Trail or south to South Beach Access Trail to get to the beach itself.
