Short and fun trail.
Need to Know
Restroom access at Bonwell Hill boat ramp parking area. Restroom closed in winter.
Description
Very short trail that begins at the Bonwell Hill boat ramp and traverses quiet woods to the
Brookville Lake Dam. There is one bridge along the trail that crosses a small stream. In the evening hours, deer and opossums are very plentiful in this area. This trail gets very muddy after a rain.
You can continue across
Brookville Lake Dam to access
Wolf Creek Trail. There are two ways to cross the dam. There is a paved walkway on top with great views of the lake as well as Brookville in the Whitewater Valley, and features signposts giving information on the dam. The other option is a gravel path near the water where seagulls, herons, and sometimes snakes and fish can be seen.
Cross the spillway to begin
Wolf Creek Trail.
Flora & Fauna
Opossums, birds, herons, rodents, lots of deer. Fish, seagulls, and snakes can be found by the dam.
