Need to Know

There is a $6.00 entrance fee to the state park. There are restrooms available within the park. There is a restaurant at the Indian Lodge in the state park. There are also numerous cafes in Fort Davis.

Description

The trail is narrow and a little rocky. It is fairly straight, and there are not many turns and is not difficult to hike. This trail connects to the Montezuma Quail Trail and ends at the bird observatory. There are many interesting desert plants along the trail. I visited this trail at sunrise best time to see some wildlife.

Flora & Fauna

Cacti, agaves, birds and deer can be seen on this trail.
