Need to Know

If there have been recent rains, stay off this trail for at least 4 to 5 days to give it time to dry out and heal. Thanks!

Description

If you look at the trail map info board at the Hamilton Greenbelt trailhead and parking lot, you'll see that it calls out "primitive trails". However, there is no name given to this trail other than calling it 'primitive trail' :).

The Lakeway online interactive map shows this trail with segmented number (e..g Trail 75). So, short of getting proper on the ground signage, locally, it's called the "Hamilton Greenbelt Primitive Trail".

This is likely the most traveled, well known, and seasonally maintained singletrack in the primitive trail system. The trail is well maintained and there are plenty of bail-out spots if you choose to jump back over to the paralleling multi-use trail.
