Need to Know

There are many bathrooms scattered alongside the trail every couple couple miles except for the Cleveland Township area. There are cafes in Empire, Glen Haven, and Glen Arbor.

Description

The trail starts in Empire at Front Street and Union Street. The trail then starts heading north on Front Street then on Lacore Street all the way until right about where the road turns into Voice Road. The trail then closely follows Voice Road. The trail continuing Voice Road then juts out with a 9% grade. Next, the trail follows Voice Road until it reaches M 22 and then follows M 22. After that, the trail follows M 109 for a bit. Then, the trail juts out from M 109 to Greenman Road. Then, the trail follows M 109 again until the trail meets the dune climb. Next, the trail follows the bottom of the dunes until Dune Valley Road where the path goes in an almost straight line Glen Haven.

The trail then heads southeast until it meets with Pine Haven Road at, which it turns into and heads south. Right before the trail meets M 109 it splits off and crosses M 109. The trail next heads east until it reaches Forest Haven Drive. The trail then follows Forest Haven Drive until it reaches M 109. The trail then follows M 109/M 22 to Glen Arbor. The trail then turns onto Oak Street south then onto State Street west. The trail then heads onto Lake Street southeast until Northwood Drive. The trail then turns onto Northwood Drive east until Fisher Road where it turns onto heading north until just about Dunns Farm Road passing over Crystal River on the way.

The trail next becomes a paved path again and mirrors Crystal Vies Road northwest. The trail then heads north, crossing Crystal View Road until it reaches M 22. The trail then experiences a 20% grade heading north-north-east to where this trail meets the Ridge Trail trailhead. The trail then heads east to Nevada Lake, mirroring M 22. The trail then heads towards Bass Lake still mirroring M 22. Finally, the trail turns east to M 22 and Bohemian Road where it ends.

You may encounter grass, many varieties of trees, ferns, bushes, and moss on this trail.
