There is a parking lot at the trailhead, the cost is about $6.00 for four hours; alternatively, you can park on the road around the trailhead (just be sure that you aren't the only one parking there—if there are other cars, that generally means you are okay, with weekends being the safest time to street park). Weekday street parking has the risk of a $40.00 ticket.

This point to point starts with a tough climb on a wide doubletrack. The trail climbs and dips for about 2.5 km until you reach a 'rest area' with a washroom and water source. After this rest area there is no other place to refill water, so it is advisable to carry at least one full 1.5 liter reservoir, more if hiking during the late spring or summer.

This trail is challenging in that after the rest area it consistently ascends and descends with very little non-incline hiking; the trail offers a non-hilly course by splitting at the base of nearly every incline, with one trail going over the hill and one going around—this route is based on going over all of the hills. If following the hilly option, there is no rest, which makes the route particular challenging despite having an average grade of 5%.

The trail continues in this manner for the duration, except the last kilometer or so before the turnaround, which is a descent on rough track road and then a short hike up a farm road (no through traffic).
