“Connecting trail between the Nature Center and Clifty Inn.
”
Family Friendly
Flat, wide trail that is well-groomed.
Standard State Park restrictions.
Need to Know
Clifty Inn and a short drive to town is all the food and entertainment you could look for off trail.
Description
Starting either at the nature center or the campground, follow the signs along the margin of the woods. Soon, you'll enter some mature hardwood trees, which is the key bit of beauty on this otherwise bland trail (compared to the rest of this park).
The southern half of the trail (between the pool and the Inn) is a very boring, flat, and grassy pathway. The northern half (between the pool and the campground) has some gentle hills and crosses a creek a couple times, and is much more shaded.
Flora & Fauna
Mature hardwoods, birds including woodpeckers and robins, and squirrels and opossum.
