The trail is steep. On the other hand, you'll not starve on either end - unless you insist on finding a McDonald's.
Description
From the Eze-Bord-de-Mer train station, turn left and find the start of the Nietzsche Trail on the hill side of the Basse Corniche (the coastal road from Nice to Menton.) Follow the fairly steep trail up from the sea to Eze hilltop village. Your reward will be fabulous views of the Cote d'Azure, or perhaps a great lunch with a view in the medieval (but turisty, of course) Eze. Take a bus back to your hotel via the Moyen Corniche, or hike back down to the train station if your knees allow.
It's almost impossible to get lost once you find the trailhead...
If you feel really energetic after your lunch, you can double the hike by heading another 200m (600ft) higher to Mont Bastide. The trail starts a bit west of Eze on the Moyen Corniche.
