Description
Reach this trail from the
Multi-use Fontanel Greenway path right from the parking lot and crosses a small creek on a bridge. Up on the hill ahead there are some structures and it is up that hill and behind some of those structures that the dirt trail begins. It is just under 2 miles of intermediate trail set in a shaded woods that offer a serene environment where people and pets can enjoy the scents, textures, and beauty of the outdoors. It starts off with a bit of an incline but then levels out. There is some hiking up and down hills but not too much. I would recommend wearing shoes you're prepared to get muddy. It hadn't rained in several days but I still encountered quite a few areas of the trail with mud I had to hike through. No problem with the proper foot ware though!
Flora & Fauna
There are squirrels, chipmunks, lots of black-capped chickadees, and I heard an owl. I'm sure there were plenty of creatures present that I didn't see too!
