Description

West Horse Loop is a wide gravel filled trail that is easy going. This section of the horse trails in Tryon Creek State Park is mapped as beginning from High Bridge, and connecting to the North Horse Loop via a connector. These two trails make up a hourglass like set of two loops that are open to horses. The trail climbs steadily and slowly from the bridge to a high point at the western edge of the park. From there the trail turns east and slowly descends back towards the creek. Near the creek the trail turns north and follows the creek towards High Bridge to close the loop.
