Red Apple Trail is part of the Mt. Emily Recreation area. Red Apple trailhead and parking lot is the starting point for hikers, bikers, and horse riders. A separate parking are is designated for ATV and ORV access to the trail system.
The trail is dirt with a few embedded rocks and is well-signed. It has a few small bridge crossings. Restrooms are available at the trailhead.
