Need to Know

Can be muddy in the winter. Steep at times...more steps than just steep incline. Sandy terrain closer to the top.

Description

This trail picks up where the River Trail ends and has slightly steeper inclines and is not suitable for strollers, etc. Once you're above the redwood tree line, the trees fade into oaks and manzanita. Be sure to avoid the camping areas as there are trail systems that overlap. Follow the Eagle Creek Trail to the end!

Flora & Fauna

Lots of great flora, from redwoods to wilfdflowers and small mammals. Definitely heard an owl somewhere in the trees on our hike!

Gorgeous walk in lush redwood forest along creek. Fantastic light and serene atmosphere. Also, can be very steep and very muddy. There are stairs.
