Need to Know

Small area to pull over on the side of the road and park. Barely room for 2-3 cars. Upside is there's rarely anyone there.

Description

This short trail—barely 0.7 miles out and back—starts from the trailhead on Red Spring Lane. There's a steep initial section downhill as you go into a ravine, but then it's mostly flat from there. The trail isn't kept up and there are no markers, though you don't need any. Some decent sized tree branches have fallen across the trail but you can generally navigate over or around them easily enough.

A few people and a chainsaw could clear the path up nicely in a few hours, but I don't who, if anyone, maintains the preserve. Still, it's a enjoyable enough stroll in the woods if you're in the area.
