Overview

This trail forms a complete loop, starting and ending at the green marker. There is ample parking, a picnic table, and a map at the trailhead.

Need to Know

The park entrance is about 1/2 mile to the west of the trailhead. You can't miss the sign. Stop by the ranger station first, render unto Caesar, then turn left and drive to the secondary entrance. On this map, the end of the trail is down the "Road to Nowhere."

Description

The trail consists of sugar sand and grass paths. Once you clear the trailhead, there is little shade until you get to the middle of Persimmon Loop, where a new oak grove awaits.
