Description

Abineau Canyon trail is a Northern Arizona classic, known for its rich aspen groves and stunning views of the San Francisco Peaks. That said, this trail is not easy for everyone. It climbs steeply on rough terrain into high elevations. Summer monsoons are common in this area, and weather can change very quickly. In winter, this trail is inaccessible due to road closures in the area. Abineau Trail makes a great out and back, but it's often hiked as a loop connecting over to Bear Jaw Trail #26 via Waterline Road (Trail).
