Description

The MAC trailhead has a small parking area on SW Kingston Drive that doesn't require a parking fee. At this trailhead you can access the Wildwood Trail as well. Head southeast through the thick forest and descend a bit on small switchbacks. You'll cross SW Kingston Drive and come to another small parking area. Head around the large green water tank and enjoy the rolling trail above the Big Meadow. You'll cross Sherwood Ave at the Elephant House picnic area/restrooms and head past a playground. The next section can open up limited views to Mt. Hood through the trees (season and weather permitting). The dirt section of the trail ends at a paved trail/service road that can be taken up to the International Rose Garden but officially heads downhill. When you hit the road turn right and cross at the intersection. Then hop onto the gravel trail that parallels Stevens Canyon. The trial ends near the Lewis and Clark monument (MAC itself is way down the hill).
