You guessed it - the bridge is indeed out, and for some time, but you can ford the creek.

Description

Starting from Barron Russell Road and ending at Pasture Field Road, Bridge-Out Road descends into and then climbs out of the shallow valley formed by Falling Creek. This is one of the steeper sections in the Piedmont National Wildlife Refuge, but steep is relative and it isn't particularly steep nor a particularly long grade.

The creek crossing in the middle is one of the deeper ones in PWNR. Expect to get wet, or look forward to it on a hot day.
