Description
The River Trail at Flandrau State Park follows a section of the Cottonwood River and takes hikers up along a ridge. There are wooden steps that are a little uneven leading up to the highest part, but the climb does not go for too long.
This trail does have some views of the river, thought much of it winds through thick woods on the ridge. The trail is either mowed grass or dirt and for the most part, it is intended as a doubletrack type of trail.
