This hike can be accessed by taking a boat to Quimixto or hiking along the coast from Las Animas. The trail runs through the forest with a good variety of grade change. Horses can also be rented at the trailhead. At the end you'll find a secluded restaurant and the Cuale waterfall. Make sure you bring some money as visitors are required to purchase at least a drink from the restaurant in order to enjoy the waterfall.
