This loop pieces together doubletrack and roads to create a short loop near Long Pine Key Campground.

Accessing this hike requires entrance into Everglades National Park. Restrooms, water, and showers are available at the campground.

The short leg-stretcher takes you out into the pines and palms of Everglades National Park. Along the way, there's a good chance of seeing birds, snakes and alligators on this loop.

After parking, hike out of the campground and turn right onto the doubletrack at the first gate. After about two miles of flat, easy hiking through pines and palms, turn right onto Long Pine Key Road. You'll use the road to connect back to another doubletrack leading back into the campground.

Sunset on this loop is sublime. Prepare for mosquitoes out there.
