While being somewhat flat, the uneven footing and terrain makes this trail feel hard.

Description

The South Loop is slightly more technical than the North Loop. The club that maintains it has multiple races there so sometimes trail conditions can be poor if it had been muddy during the race.

Flora & Fauna

The trail runs along Alum Creek in typical deciduous woods.

Mud & ice, very sloppy. Harder than it looks. Fairly rugged for a trail in the middle of the city. Great way for us to break in new boots! 7mi

An absolute slosh pit of mud and ice. Not much for elevation change, but pretty darn rugged for a city trail.
