Description

Connector trail between Ramseys Draft Trail #440 and Shenandoah Mountain Trail, located entirely within the Ramseys Draft Wilderness (no bikes).

Because the trail is remote and within wilderness (requiring hand tools only), the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club sometimes struggles to keep this trail clear. Old growth Hemlocks have come down at lower elevations, requiring two-person crosscut saws to eliminate.

From June - October, Stinging Nettle plants are a real nuisance. Great winter hike, along the stream known as Jerry's Run. There is a large campsite on the Ramseys Draft Trail #440 just north of where this trail intersects.
