Description
The trail is clearly marked with blue and white blazes. It is accessed via the
Island Trail (Blue). A bird observation blind is found at the southernmost part of the trail. There is also a view of Silver Bay from the northernmost part of this trail where waterfowl such as Ruddy Ducks and Buffleheads can be seen in late autumn and winter. Parts of this trail can become very wet and muddy; waterproof boots are recommended after a heavy rain.
Flora & Fauna
Nesting Ospreys can be seen here in the summer. Blue Jays, Carolina Chickadees, Tufted Titmouses, Dark-eyed Juncos, sparrows, woodpeckers, and waterfowl can also be seen from this trail.
