There are not many water fountains or restrooms along the trail. There are both at Bladensburg Waterfront Park on the north end of the trail.

Description

This is a great, easy, flat and paved trail along the Anacostia River in Washington DC and Maryland. It's popular with cyclists and hikers alike, as it connects the National Park land along nearly 10 miles of the river's east bank. It's easy to access from numerous bridges, including the Frederick Douglas Memorial Bridge, 11th Street Bridge, Pennsylvania Avenue Bridge, East Capitol Street Bridge and Benning Road Bridge.
