Description

Starting from the parking area at the terminus of A-Frame Road, this trail climbs up the northwest side of Cabin Mountain, ending at the eastern boundary of Canaan Valley Wildlife Refuge. At just under 1000 feet of elevation gain, this trail provides a healthy workout. But on the way up and down, enjoy excellent views of Canaan Valley and the Blackwater River to your west and north.

Access Cabin Mountain Trail from the parking area at the end of A-Frame Road, or via South Glade Run Crossing from the west. A-Frame Road is an approximately 9-mile gravel road into the Wildlife Refuge. The turn-off for A-Frame Road is off of WV 93, 9.0 miles north of the town of Davis.
