Description

The trail can be hard to stay on at times, especially when you get closer to green mountain summit. It's typically very steep. There are some beautiful views. And you are unlikely to meet any other poor souls that decide to take this trail.

The trailhead on 215 can be hard to find. It's just a small goat path on the left side of the road that goes straight uphill just below a pull off on the right (if you're coming down 215 from the parkway). After Green Mountain's summit the trail lays off and you are rewarded with some of the best views in all of Pisgah. Get after it!!
