Description

Access this trail by heading north on the levee trail (Twin Peaks Loop) following the Rio Grande (north side of the State Ave. bridge). The Rio Inspire Trail starts on the lefthand side of the levee. Look for a City of Alamosa trail marker sign, which indicates the beginning of the trail.

The singletrack trail winds through willows in the riparian areas of the Rio Grande, as well as dipping and turning through cottonwood galleries. This trail connects to other City of Alamosa Trails including the Outer Oxbow Loop and the Simpson Loop.
