Need to Know
The trail is located in a county park. Parking fees are $3 for day use, but the county offers annual passes that are a steal at $55 ($35 for seniors 60+) when compared to the cost of state park passes. Check
here for more information.
Description
The Stagecoach South Trail connects the Little Sycamore Canyon Staging Area and Nix Nature Center with the Willow Staging Area, a bit down the road. It doesn't have any real steep sections but it is a multi-use, singletrack trail and one needs to listen for mountain bikers and horses.
Also, since this part of the park is wedged in a corner between the 73 Toll Road and Laguna Canyon Road, there is a bit of car noise for a good portion of the trail. However, it is a nice beginner's trail and leads to the
Laurel Canyon Trail. A bit of car noise is a small price to pay to hike all the other trails connecting to Stagecoach South.
Flora & Fauna
Usual SoCal brush, live oaks, and cacti.
