Description

Raven Ridge Trail is entirely in the beautiful woods.

Starting at mile 0.55 along Center Loop Trail, Raven Ridge Trail climbs to the top of Turtleback Mountain that at 1,481 feet, is the high point of this trail. The actual summit of Turtleback Mountain is off trail, in the woods, slightly to the west, and only 38 ft. higher. Although this is the trail's high point, it is wooded, so there are no expansive distant views here.

After passing the top of Turtleback Mountain at the 0.45 mile mark, Raven Ridge Trail descends and circles around to pass North Trail on the right at the 1.1 mile mark. Stay to the left here to continue on Raven Ridge Trail. Then after 1.35 total miles, Raven Ridge Trail ends at the 0.9 mile mark of Center Loop Trail.

Flora & Fauna

Beautiful woods. Firs and deciduous trees.

The top of Turtleback Mountain is flat and surrounded by trees, thus hiding magnificent views of the San Juan Islands.
