Parking is on an S-curve of US Hwy 421 northbound. There are many downed trees and fallen branches on the track.

Description

Dogwood Bench Road is a National Forest Service Road (NFSR) that can be accessed from an S-curve in US Hwy 421. It climbs to McQueen Gap, close to the intersection of McQueen Gap Road and the Appalachian Trail. There are three road gates on the road, roughly at the beginning, middle, and end of the trail.
