Need to Know

This starts in the parking area to the right (east) of the rest stop.

Description

The Blue Trail (aptly named for the blue blazes on the trees) starts at the 0.8-mile point along the Orange Trail (also creatively named). There is good signage and the blazes are frequent and easy to see on the blue section. Hang a right at the intersection (only way you can go other than straight) and follow the well-marked trail around for close to nine miles until it reconnects with the Orange Trail.

If you wish for a shorter excursion you can use the Blue Trail with one of two connector trails that will take you back to the Orange Trail that you started on.

Grab a map at the beginning for more details (or perhaps I will include at a later date).

Flora & Fauna

Gators, gators, and more gators. Lots of black snakes. Some turtles. Lots of singing birds.

Blue trail was very overgrown with vegetation. At times you're walking through waist high grass. One second was completed flooded out.
