Parking is roadside and in a drainage. Make sure not to park low!

Need to Know

No restrooms or water at TH. You can continue to Red Spring parking lot for water and toilets.

Description

Trailhead can be harder to find as the sign looks like all the other signs. It is located near the first big drainage off Calico Basin Rd. on your right.

You can go either direction, but I prefer counter clockwise as the climb is more gradual. A good rule is to keep making left turns as you go and to stay out of any drainage as the trail will parallel the dry beds.

Flora & Fauna

Lots of Joshua Trees and Barrel Cactus.
