Description

While Corridor #19A originally followed the railroad tracks north, Corridor #19A Alternate takes you through the field instead. The trail branches off the tracks at the closed gate and heads through the field. Here, in the center of the field, there are excellent views of the surrounding mountains. It angles northeast through the field to a small brook, which it crosses over. It parallels the brook left and goes through a patch of forest. It then follows along the Saco River, then turns left into the woods. It crosses beneath the railroad tracks, then turns right. In a short distance, it meets back with Corridor #19A (just south of a trestle bridge over the Saco River).
