Access via Summit Road FS Road #31 to FS Road #275. FS Road #275 is gated and leads to the lookout tower.

Description

The short hike from the gate is rewarded with access to the the fire tower. You can climb up to just below the tower cabin to 360-degree views. To the west is the North Fork Umatilla Wilderness, to the SW is the Wallowa Mountains and on clear days the Seven Devil Mountains of Idaho are visible to the east.
