Description
Starting at the ski area parking lot to save 2000 feet of elevation from Arinsal, follow whatever path up the ski area to the ridgeline. A slight scrambled up to the ridge leads to a clear trail that skirts around a peak and reaches another ridge line. From here a path descends down into the valley and another continues along the ridge. The rocks and limited vegetation can make it hard to follow, but it is marked by yellow circles spray painted onto rocks. When in doubt stay close to the ridge line. Several areas require minor scrambling as you approach the ridge but these are quite minimal. When you reach the ridge you can continue down into the valley but be warned you'll either need to climb back up or go all the way down to Arinsal. Otherwise return the way you came, being particularly careful not to lose the path as the yellow markers are harder to see on return. When in doubt stay close to the ridge. From the ridge line views of the alpine Pyrennes go on for miles into France and Spain and across the entire country of Andorra.
