“A flat, even trail along the river from a parking area to Fort Clatsop Visitor Center.
”
$7/person 16 or older entrance fee charged. National Park & Federal Recreation Passes accepted.
Description
The trail begins near the bicycle rack in the parking area. Follow the trail downstream to an interpretive kiosk, then continue into the woods beside the Netul River. The trail wanders in a generally straight direction, eventually crossing a bridge over a small canal or inlet (devoid of water at low tide). Continue on the path near the road then again through the forest. Just before mile 1.0, the trail turns left to ascend to the Fort Clatsop Visitor Center (a junction at mile 1.0 allows access to the fort without ascending to the visitor center). The trail ends in the visitor center parking area.
