Description

This trail begins next to a bus stop and wanders behind a neighborhood in the Olympic Village before ducking into the forest. The gradient is gently uphill, and the trail surface is mostly smooth, with fine gravel initially. At the first signposted intersection, turn right to stay on the Lower Ridge Trail. Follow steeper switchbacks that become more rooty and rocky.

After gaining a minor ridge, the trail widens and becomes smoother. There are a few partial views of the surrounding mountains, but no sweeping vistas here. Wind your way uphill though forest and scrub to the next signposted junction with the Crater Rim Trail. Stay left for a few more feet of elevation gain before trending downhill on a former logging road to the shores of Logger's Lake.
