Overview
This is a popular urban trail, with multiple access points throughout. It follows the canyon rim, providing viewpoints of waterfalls, sheer canyon walls, the Perrine Bridge, and BASE jumpers. Hawks and other birds of prey frequent this canyon, providing excellent birding opportunities.
Need to Know
There are restrooms at the Twin Falls Visitors Center next to the Perrine Bridge. There are also some at Shoshone Falls Park.
Description
You can pick up the trail in any number of places: a parking lot on the far west side off Washington Street, the Twin Falls Visitors Center, the Pole Line Road Trailhead, and Shoshone Falls Park. You can do the trail in segments or do the whole thing in one point-to-point trip.
This trail is popular with cyclists, runners, walkers, and all sorts of people who want to enjoy the beautiful scenery. There are numerous waterfalls along the trail, with Perrine-Coulee Falls and Shoshone Falls being the most famous. The trail also runs through some pasture land where cows, sheep, horses, and ponies graze.
