Family Friendly There is plenty of shade and areas to sit on the side of the trail and observe the various plants and fauna of the canyon.

You may not be able to access trail if the Ramsey Canyon Preserve is closed.

Description

The trail starts off from the Ramsey Canyon Preserve facility where patrons are introduced to the canyon. Soon hikers will encounter a well maintained yet steep section of switchbacks before descending farther into the canyon. Hikers eventually encounter a fork in the road where if one continues to the right, the Hamburg Trail will end upon the three-way stop of the Crest Trail.
